Two Office Workers

1

Cat–walk deportment
On a four–inch heel;
Legs fit to cross
Beneath a mini–skirt,
Or nonchalantly swing
From office desk;
Hips ripe for office knees;
Bosom tailor–made
For office head in need of solace:
— she's loitering with intent.

2

Her lips a speaking clock
Of train–times, plane–times
Birthdays and working lunches;
Processing fingers
Equally apt
For keyboard or for fax;
Grammar perfect,
Spelling near enough;
Breast a Brunhilde shield
Against unwelcome clients:
— she's mothering with intent.

Weld one and two together
And you'd get
The perfect wife.
